I'm very happy with the treatment I received here. My first appointment was intended to be a consultation, and the doctor and two staff members (Lauren and Maggie) were present to consult, and I received treatments from both Dr. Rafal and the laser technician Lauren that day. The staff are nothing but kind and accommodating, and they use the products advertised at the clinic themselves. There can be a wait if you are seeing the doctor herself, but seeing other staff I've never waited more than a few minutes. Do expect them to want you to use various products that you will have to pay for (and some treatments, like laser, will be out-of-pocket) but remember this is a cosmetic dermatologist in Stony Brook serving a certain clientele generally so they expect you to be ready to buy things - but you CAN continue with treatments if you aren't ready to use or purchase certain products yet; their goal is to help you so you can say you aren't ready or able to purchase whatever products. They also try to get you discounts whenever possible. I go here for both cosmetic and dermatological treatments and I'm very pleased with both.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rafal’s for many years. With age, I have realized the importance of annual dermatologiy appointments to check for any potential cancerous lesions. Dr. Rafal Is highly skilled at removing spots on my face without leaving any type of scar whatsoever! Aside from her skills as a physician, she is an incredibly compassionate and kind woman. She had a way of putting me at ease, which i have not found so easily with other Doctors. Her staff is an extension of her professional and kind nature. From her desk staff, to Lauren, her nurse and aesthetician, I couldn’t be more pleased!!

Dr. Rafal and her staff make you feel very welcome. I recently had Botox injections on my forehead it lifted my eyelids I love putting on my eye makeup now, it was such a positive and painless experience. I would recommend Dr. Rafal to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Rafal for laser hair removal for the past few months. I have gone to other offices for the same areas and have not had the same results that I have here. I saw Dr. Rafal over the last 6 months for a scar that was on my chest. It was very red and raised, it was something I was very self conscious about and being that I am getting married in less then a year, it was constantly on my mind as it would show in most styles. I went for 5 treatments with the laser and thanks to Dr. Rafal and her nurse, Kayleigh, it is practically non-existent. I am so incredibility happy with my results and i would do it again if I had to would do it over in a heart beat. It has really been life changing.
